Sustainability as a design system, not a selling point.

Senior Designer — Color & Material Direction | Girls + Boys Childrenswear

Restorative Nature is a Spring 2025 collection built on a single design principle: sustainability as starting point, not afterthought. I led the color and material direction, driving natural fibers, eco-conscious fabrications, and hand-drawn prints that capture nature's quiet energy — translating a wellness-forward cultural moment into a commercially-grounded kidswear range.

The design framework balanced mindfulness with movement. For Girls, the concept centered on a return to slow, intentional living — expressed through airy silhouettes, botanical prints, and tactile details like embroidery and linen-blend fabrics. For Boys, the direction leaned active and independent — easy utility shapes in earthy color, built for outdoor exploration and designed to layer.

Material choices were anchored in sustainability credentials without sacrificing the hand-feel or performance required for childrenswear. The collection was developed across both categories simultaneously, with a unified color architecture that enabled cross-gender coordination at retail.

Soft twills and open details, made to move.

GIRLS

Restorative Nature celebrates a return to slow, mindful living—inviting girls to explore the world through softness, curiosity, and craft. The palette is grounded in sun-washed florals, gentle textures, and hand-touched details that highlight embroidery, pocket blooms, and whimsical prints. Silhouettes feel nostalgic yet modern, designed for movement, discovery, and imaginative play. This concept reconnects girls with the joy of nature through comfort, creativity, and a sense of peaceful optimism.

BOYS

For boys, Restorative Nature blends outdoor adventure with easy, everyday comfort. The story highlights earthy hues, worn-in textures, and graphic messages that champion exploration and local pride. Stripes, garment-dyed tees, and relaxed fleece silhouettes nod to a laid-back, skate-to-trail lifestyle. This concept encourages boys to unplug and reconnect with the outdoors—celebrating curiosity, independence, and the playful spirit of nature-led discovery.

Nature Rebalanced

Restorative Nature explores the intersection of energy and calm found in the natural world. Soft mineral pastels and atmospheric blues create a sense of balance and recovery, while vibrant corals and sun-charged yellows inject movement and vitality. Grounded by earthy neutrals and mossy greens, the palette reflects a system where performance and restoration coexist—capturing the rhythm of nature while supporting products designed for motion, versatility, and everyday exploration.
