Color that moves. Swim built for the guy who never really stops.

Associate Designer — Color Direction, Print & Pattern Development, Product Design | Men's Swim

Men's swim is a category that looks simple from the outside and is deceptively technical to execute well. The fit window is narrow, the fabrication requirements are specific, and the color and print direction has to work harder than almost any other category — because when a man is wearing swim, that print is the entire garment.

For this Cubavera Summer collection, I built the color and mood direction from a Caribbean leisure reference — sun-faded, confident, and rooted in the kind of effortless style that doesn't announce itself. The palette balanced deep navy anchors with warm coral, fresh mint, and clear sky tones — a system designed to feel cohesive on the floor while giving the consumer real variety within the range.

Print development was done across multiple pattern scales and repeat structures, with each colorway tested for wearability and shelf impact. Fabric selection focused on quick-dry performance weaves that held color saturation and print clarity through the construction process — a non-negotiable in swim where hand-feel and print integrity have to survive chlorine, salt water, and repeated washing.

Tropical Modern: Color & Mood

A vibrant blend of ocean blues, sunset corals, and resort textures capturing Cubavera’s relaxed island heritage with a fresh, youthful edge.

In swim, the print is the product. Every color decision, every repeat, every scale choice is a design decision.

Designed with quick-dry poly fabrics and breezy texture details, this hybrid short blends beach versatility with Cubavera’s effortless island style. My role included refining colors, sketching silhouettes, and collaborating with vendors to bring the relaxed, tropical aesthetic to life.
